A Flood of … Flood

Posted on April 10, 2025April 10, 2025

TOOK MY CAMERA to work today. (I do every day.) No particular subject in mind. Just that I hang it around my neck on my way out the door every day.

I ended up way out west of town on Anderson Ferry Road. The river is in flood, so the ferry isn’t running while the water is up (ten feet or more above flood stage). I dropped off my fare and tootled back down the hill. At the light by the UDF, I coasted across River Road and the railroad tracks and got this picture.

The sign that is out in the water is about on the edge of the bank. The main channel of the River is beyond that. The road surface has a nice coating of mud deposited. Unless I am mistaken, I believe the road is paved in ashphalt.
